What information do we collect?

When you visit our website, the web hosting server recognizes your navigational information, including non-personally identifiable information (i.e. domain type, browser version, service provider and IP address), but not your name, email address, phone number or other personal details. This information is shared with third party services, such as Google or associated Camps, to allow Camps with Friends to gather broad information about visitors and their browsing patterns on the Camps with Friends website. Camps with Friends also collects information volunteered by visitors.

Customers and visitors to the Camps with Friends website may also submit their information voluntarily to be included on an email and/or physical mailing address list or for comments or questions about our services. We do not sell or rent our visitor or customer email addresses or make them available to other organizations for marketing purposes.

Why do we collect your personally identifiable information?

The navigational information we collect tells us about the use of our website by visitors, including the areas of our site that are most visited or the time of a last visit to a page on our website. The navigational information helps us better understand a visitor’s experience and improve upon that experience by recognizing and delivering more of the features and services our visitors prefer. The information we collect is also used to improve the content of our website, to notify visitors who request specific information about updates to our website, and to contact visitors (with permission) for our own marketing purposes. The information we collect may be disclosed if we are legally required to do so at the request of governmental authorities conducting an investigation, to verify or enforce compliance with the policies governing our website and applicable laws, or to protect against misuse or unauthorized use of our website.

When do we collect your personally identifiable information?

Information is only collected when a user submits their information for questions or comments, or when a user makes a purchase on the website.

How do we use your personally identifiable information?

Camps with Friends may send email communications to those interested in learning more about the services offered. We do not send unsolicited commercial email, otherwise known as “spam.” We do not sell or rent our visitor or customer email addresses or make them available to other organizations for marketing purposes.

Who do we share your personally identifiable information with?

We will not share your personally identifiable information with third parties (aside from entities that perform services for us, such as sending email communications) unless you have “opted-in” to such sharing. This will allow us to share your information with associated Camps. We may disclose information you provide if required to do so by law or if we have a good faith belief that disclosure is necessary to (1) comply with the law or with legal process served on us; (2) protect and defend our rights or property; or (3) act in an emergency to protect someone’s safety.

What about personally identifiable information of minors?

Our site is not directed to children under the age of 18. We respect the privacy of parents and children and are committed to complying with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”). If a parent believes that a child has provided us with his or her personal information, the parent can contact us via e-mail, phone or postal mail as listed below.

What else should you know about your privacy?

Although we will exercise reasonable care in providing secure transmission of information between your computer and our servers, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information transmitted to us over the Internet and we accept no liability for any unintentional disclosure. Further, our site may contain hyperlinks and pointers to internet sites maintained by third parties. These links are provided for your reference only. Camps with Friends does not control, operate or endorse in any respect information, products or services on such third-party sites and are not responsible for their content. Many third-party sites have their own privacy policies that differ from ours. This Privacy Policy only covers our site and does not cover any other site. While we make every effort to keep your information secure, we do not control the policies of other sites.

In no event shall Camps with Friends, its affiliated companies, members, officers, employees, vendors, or agents be liable for any damages (whether consequential, direct, incidental, indirect, punitive, special, or otherwise) arising out of, or in any way connected with, a third party’s unauthorized access to your information, regardless of whether such damages are based on contract, strict liability, tort, or other theories of liability, and also regardless of whether Camps with Friends was given actual or constructive notice that damages were possible, except as provided under applicable laws.
